Synnada Lobby Bench
Lobby & Lounge Seating

Zela is a high-back wing chair drawn for the quiet corners of a hotel lobby. The tall back, the side wings and the arms flow as one upholstered shell, with a stitched edge showing along it. A separate seat cushion sits inside the shell. The chair stands on a four-arm solid walnut cross base. It takes its name from Zela, the ancient Pontic city in Zile, Tokat. We make it in our factory in Istanbul. The high back and the wings wrap the head and shoulders, and give the sitter a small quiet space in a noisy lobby. The seat cushion is loose, so it lifts out of the shell. The four-arm base carries a swivel mechanism, so a guest can turn towards the lobby or the window without getting up. The feet are slim at the tips and leave the floor open for sweeping. Upholstery is available in Crib 5 (BS 5852) or CAL 117 rated fabrics; the test report ships with the fabric batch. It belongs in the quiet reading corners of a lobby and in a hotel library, with a side table and a lamp beside it. Fabric, colour and walnut tone are chosen at order. We set the size and seat height against the plan of the space.
