Aphrodisias Lounge Armchair
Lobby & Lounge Seating

Apameia is a compact two-seat sofa drawn for lobbies and lounges. It is upholstered in cream woven fabric. The back is curved and turns into the arms in one sweep, and rows of buttons run across the back surface. A walnut-toned timber plinth sits underneath. It takes its name from Apameia (Apameia Kibotos), the ancient city in Dinar, Afyonkarahisar. We make it in our factory in Istanbul. The seat is a single cushion, with no seam or gap between the two sitters. The curve of the back wraps the shoulders, and the buttons hold the fabric to the back so the filling does not shift. The fabric edges are finished with a slim piping; the seam line sets the shape and protects the edge where wear starts. The plinth brings the sofa closer to the floor and keeps the fabric clear of dust and cleaning water. Upholstery is available in Crib 5 (BS 5852) or CAL 117 rated fabrics; the test report ships with the fabric batch. It fits a reception waiting corner, an elevator lobby, a lounge area or a suite sitting area; two of them facing each other make a small conversation corner. Fabric type, colour and plinth timber tone are chosen at order. We set the width and seat height against the plan of the space.
