Not every company advertising as a "Turkish furniture manufacturer" actually owns a factory. Many are trading companies that outsource to third-party workshops, resulting in inconsistent quality and no accountability when something goes wrong. 1. Own factory and showroom. Ask for a factory visit, virtually or in person. If they can't show you where furniture is made, they're brokers, not manufacturers.
2. Years in operation. Furniture craftsmanship is a knowledge business. We recommend suppliers with 15+ years. Archidecors is at 45 years and counting.
3. Verifiable export references. Don't accept vague claims. Ask for recent international projects with client names you can verify. We disclose: Grand Soho Hotel (NYC), Katara Hills Hilton (Doha), multiple villa projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
4. Certifications that match your use case. For hotel FF&E: FIRA chair testing, Martindale 40,000+ rub fabrics. For UK market: Crib 5 fire compliance. For residential: ISO 9001 is table stakes.
