Why Designers Use Us

Workroom Discipline, Factory Economics

A good local workroom gives you control: drawings, finish approvals, progress photos, a piece that matches the spec. The tradeoff is price and capacity. A volume factory gives you price, and takes the control away. The gap between the two is where trade clients use us: a factory in Istanbul that runs your order with workroom discipline, because custom is what it has produced since 1981.

The practical package: your drawings or design intent in, our shop drawings back for approval, physical finish samples and fabric cuttings before production, photo documentation at the 50 percent and completion milestones, third-party pre-shipment inspection welcome, and delivery on your choice of incoterm, door-to-door to the site if you want a single accountable line.

Materials are the second reason: solid Turkish marble and travertine cut in-house, solid oak and walnut, PVD-coated brass and contract-grade upholstery under one roof, so a single supplier holds the palette across seating, casegoods and stone. References include villa furniture for Katara Hills in Qatar and loose furniture supply for a New York hotel project, described strictly at that scope.

The Program

What Trade Terms Include

COM / COL Support

Ship your fabric or leather to Istanbul; we confirm yardage from the cutting plan before you buy, and return unused material with the piece.

Shop-Drawing Workflow

Nothing is cut before written approval of drawings, finishes and cuttings. Three to five revision rounds included on custom pieces.

Production Transparency

Photo documentation at 50 percent and completion, plus third-party inspection access before shipment.

White-Label Delivery

Neutral labeling and documentation with your studio presented as the source. Joint credit only if you want it.

Door-to-Door Logistics

FOB, CIF or DDP with export documentation in-house; on DDP we clear customs and deliver to the project site.

No Membership Fee

Trade terms applied per project after verification. No upfront design fee on approved production projects above 100K USD; referral program available.

How to Open a Trade Account

  1. Introduce your studio. Send your resale certificate or business registration and a line about your typical projects through the quote form.
  2. Start with one piece or one schedule. Most trade relationships start with a single test piece; send drawings or reference images with dimensions.
  3. Receive terms and a quote. We confirm trade terms and return a line-by-line quote with lead times and incoterm options within one business day.

For duty planning on US work see the 2026 tariff guide, and for volume hospitality programs the contract furniture page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does your trade program work for interior designers?

You bring the design intent; we run it like a workroom with a factory behind it. The flow: brief or drawing intake under NDA if needed, our shop drawings back for your approval, finish samples and fabric cuttings signed off, production with photo documentation at the 50 percent and completion milestones, third-party inspection welcome, then crated shipment on FOB, CIF or DDP terms, door-to-door to the project site if you prefer. Trade terms are confirmed at intake against your resale certificate or business registration.

Do you accept COM and COL?

Yes. Customer's own material and customer's own leather are standard in our workflow: you ship the fabric or hide to Istanbul, we confirm yardage from the pattern and cutting plan before you commit, and unused material returns with the piece. We also source contract-grade fabrics locally against your spec when that is faster, with cuttings approved before production.

Will production start before I approve shop drawings?

No. Nothing is cut before your written approval of shop drawings, finish samples and fabric cuttings. Revisions at the drawing stage are part of the process, not a change order: three to five revision rounds are included on custom pieces. This is the discipline that prevents the classic overseas-order failure, a piece that matches the photo but not the drawing.

Can you white-label the furniture under my studio brand?

Yes. White-label delivery is available: neutral labeling and documentation, your studio presented as the source to your client, and joint project credit only if you want it. Many trade clients also use us as their overseas workroom for pieces their local workroom cannot price or size, keeping their client relationship untouched.

What does the trade program cost to join?

Nothing. There is no membership fee; trade terms are applied per project after verification. On approved production projects above 100K USD there is no upfront design fee, and a designer referral program is available. Pricing itself is always per piece list, because materials, sizes and quantities move the number; you receive a line-by-line quote with incoterm options.

How does delivery to a US project site work?

You choose the handoff point. FOB Istanbul if your freight forwarder takes over at port; CIF to your US port; or DDP door-to-door where we handle ocean freight, customs clearance and final delivery to the site, with duty treatment shown inside the price. Typical ocean transit to US East Coast ports is 2 to 6 weeks after production. For duty planning see our 2026 tariff guide; most casegoods and stone pieces sit outside the Section 232 furniture action.

Bring Us Your Hardest Piece

The piece your local workroom cannot price, the stone top nobody wants to ship, the banquette that has to fit a curved wall. Send the drawing; we respond with an approach and a quote within one business day.
