Lobby & Lounge Seating

Aphrodisias is a lounge armchair with a solid timber frame. Broad, rounded timber armrests sit on thick legs, and an upholstered back and a separate upholstered seat cushion rest inside that frame. It is named after Aphrodisias, the ancient city at Karacasu in Aydın. We make the chair in our factory in Istanbul. The broad armrests give the sitter a generous surface for the arm, with room for a cup or a book. The timber joints are closed with visible wooden plugs, so the frame looks sturdy and plain. A thick seat cushion gives a deep seat, and the back cushion sets a soft surface in front of the timber. Because the cushion is separate, fabric choice and care are easier. In a lobby or a lounge corner it suits rooms that want the warmth of timber and the softness of upholstery together. Two chairs with a small side table between them are often all a lounge needs. Upholstery is available in Crib 5 (BS 5852) or CAL 117 rated fabrics; the test report ships with the fabric batch. Fabric, colour and timber tone are chosen at order.
