Specifying bar and lounge furniture with the counter
The most common mistake with bar stools is choosing the model before checking the counter. A stool that is too tall crowds the guest's knees; one that is too low leaves them reaching. For a hotel bar, the counter, the stools and the high tables should all come from one set of measurements, and that is the order in which we work through the project.
The upholstered bar stool with a back, brass-toned metal legs and a footrest ring suits a hotel bar. A counter stool with a low back fits breakfast counters and cafes. A solid oak stool, backless with a cross brace, sits easily in wine bars and coffee shops. The high bistro table has a round marble top on a single column and a heavy base; it works for standing drinks or with stools pulled up.
Upholstery is available in Crib 5 (BS 5852) or CAL 117 rated fabrics; the test report ships with the fabric batch. A test report to the contract seating standard EN 16139 is prepared on request. Our fabric library runs up to 100,000 Martindale rubs; for bars we recommend the highest grade. We work with customer's own material (COM) and state the required yardage with the quote.
In our own factory in Modoko, Istanbul we build the solid oak stool and the marble high table; part of the upholstered stool range comes through our supply programme from manufacturers we have chosen. We make a full-size sample or a mock-up bar bay before the series, and production waits for your approval. Shipping is quoted FOB Istanbul, CIF or DDP.

Is there a minimum order for bar stools?
There is no fixed minimum for factory-made products; the quantity is stated per quote. For stools from our sourcing programme, any quantity condition is written into the quote. Where an item comes through our sourcing programme, any quantity condition is stated plainly in the quote, so you can budget up front.
Can stool height be matched to our counter?
Yes. Bar stools and counter stools sit at different heights. Once we have your counter dimensions we set the seat height and footrest position to match. We confirm the detail in writing in the project quote, so you can check it against your specification.
Which fabric options do you offer for bar stools?

Can the high table top be something other than marble?
Yes. Marble is the main option, but top material and finish are set to the project. If you want to see a top first, we make a sample before the series.
How are lead time and export handled?
Lead time and quantities are confirmed in writing with the quote, and warranty terms are stated there. We quote FOB Istanbul, with CIF or DDP on request. We plan packing and container loading to the delivery point of the project.
