Termessos is a dining chair with wood-framed cane seat and back on a cantilever frame bent from a single brass-toned metal tube. It takes its name from Termessos, the mountain city in the Taurus range. There are no rear legs; the tube rises from the floor, passes under the seat and climbs to the back. Under the sitter's weight the frame flexes slightly, giving a spring-like comfort over a long meal. The cane panels are stretched into light wood frames; the warm tones of brass and cane complete each other. It works in both modern and transitional dining rooms.
