Tavium C Side Table

Tavium is a C-shaped side table made entirely of solid walnut. A leather-lined tray is set into the thick top; the top joins a wide side panel, and the panel joins a low base board. The finger joints at the corners stay visible. It takes its name from Tavium, the ancient Galatian city at Büyüknefes, Yozgat. We make it in our factory in Istanbul. Because of the C shape, the base board slips under a sofa or an armchair and the top comes right over the sitter's lap. A guest picks up a laptop, a drink or a book easily, and the table stays put when they set it down. The leather-lined tray gives a glass a soft surface to sit on; the solid walnut cleans with daily wiping. The finger joints stay visible and join timber to timber. It stands beside lobby sofas and in front of guest room armchairs, in the same walnut tone in both places. Walnut tone, leather colour and size are chosen at order. We set the height against the seat height of the piece it serves.
