Reception Desks & Bar Counters

Pessinus is a reception desk that stands at the entrance of a hotel lobby. It takes its name from Pessinus, the Phrygian city whose ruins lie at Ballıhisar in Sivrihisar, Eskişehir. The front is made in marble or fluted timber. A guest counter sits on top, and a separate working counter below keeps the team's work out of view. A hidden LED channel washes the front from below. One section of the desk is kept low for accessible use. The front of the desk is the first thing a guest sees in the lobby, so we choose the material to suit the project. The low section lets a guest in a wheelchair reach the counter with ease. Marble or timber and the colour are chosen at order. We make it in our Istanbul factory. Lead time and quantities are confirmed in writing with the quote.

Our Design Studio takes a home, villa or hotel from floor plan to handover as one team: site survey, concept, photorealistic 3D visualisation, material selection, production in our own factory and installation on site. You see this piece in your room, in the finish you chose, before anything is made.

Carrara, Calacatta, Emperador, travertine and onyx: which marble suits which piece, how it compares with quartz and how often the surface needs sealing. Practical notes from our factory.
