Labranda is a dining armchair with a walnut-toned solid wood frame standing on V-shaped compass legs, with a cane seat and back. It takes its name from Labranda, the mountain sanctuary of Caria. The rear legs form an inverted V that meets the back upright; this geometry gives the chair an architectural stance and stiffens the frame without stretchers. The flat armrests reach forward and leave a wide surface for the elbow. The cane seat and back keep the body light, and the dark wood brings out the pale colour of the cane. It finds its place at a desk as readily as at the dining table.
