Kibyra Spindle Armchair

Kibyra is a dining armchair with turned wood spindles around a barrel-shaped curved back, a black lacquered solid wood frame and a light beige upholstered seat. It takes its name from Kibyra, the ancient city near Burdur. The spindles fan out from the seat to the back rail; the light passing between them keeps the chair airy from behind. The back rail turns into the armrests and comes forward at a comfortable arm height. The legs splay slightly, tied by stretchers. The contrast between the black frame and the pale seat lets the chair stand out at light and dark tables alike.
