Getting There, Airport & Transport
Sabiha Gokcen International (SAW)
Asian-side airport. 20 minutes by car to Modoko via D-100 highway. Recommended for Modoko-only trips. Most major European, GCC and CIS routes.
Pickup: arrange it with your host manufacturer when you book the visit.
Istanbul Airport (IST)
European-side airport. 60-75 minutes by car to Modoko via Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. Most US and intercontinental routes.
If your only option is IST, plan an extra night, first-day jet lag combined with bridge traffic eats the morning.
Inter-atelier transport in Modoko. Do not rent a car. Premium manufacturers, ours included, can arrange a dedicated driver and transit between showrooms for confirmed buyers. Public transport options exist (Marmaray + bus combination) but waste 60-90 minutes per leg. A dedicated driver for 4 days ran around $150-300 in 2026, often covered by the host manufacturer.
For the airport return on departure day, book transport with your host atelier the previous afternoon, Istanbul traffic is unpredictable, especially on Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings.

Cultural neighborhood with character, boutique hotels, waterfront views, walkable cafes. Better for evening relaxation. Daytime traffic to Modoko adds 15-20 min.
Bagdat Caddesi (Erenköy/Suadiye)
12-20 min · 4-5★
Upscale shopping street, premium hotels, restaurants. Convenient if your trip blends sourcing with leisure. Wider variety of dining.
